During the Burlington Chocolatefest, Peace will once again be sponsoring the Peaceful Pitstop – a diaper-changing/baby feeding/quiet place to rest for parents and their young children. Over the course of 4 days, May 24-28, we will be staffing our tent for a total of 35 hours. The exact times are listed on a poster in the narthex. All supplies and furniture will be provided, as well as literature and shields of strength to share with visitors. If you are interested in volunteering all you need to bring is yourself. Shifts can be as short as 1 hour or as many hours as you can spare. Volunteers are given free admission to Chocolatfest each day that they will be helping, so if you’d like to split your hours up over the course of 2 or more days, that would be fine.
Background checks need to be run for each helper aged 18 or older, even if you were checked last year. Please include your birthdate, along with your name and phone number (or email address if that’s your easiest method of contact), if you are planning to help.
If you can not be a volunteer at the tent but would still like to help, please feel free to donate cash towards the purchase of diapers, wipes, etc. that we will be purchasing.
Questions??? Please talk to Renee Knapton or Rachel Bennett.
